Here’s another one! Met Gala too gets cancelled because of obvious reasons! Coronavirus continiues to wreak its havoc.
No new date has been announced for the busiest fashion-society-politics-celebrity gala of the year that was earlier scheduled for 4 May.
This year’s gala was expected be a comeback of classic dress as compared to last year’s, ‘Camp’ extremity.
Met Gala’s 2020 co-hosts included Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The show ‘About Time: Fashion and Duration’ was to be unveiled at the annual star studded fundraising party.
As per the health advisories issued by the Government to prevent the spreading of Coronavirus, not more than 50 people can assemble together.
That programming includes the annual fundraising party, which heralds the opening of the Costume Institute’s yearly blockbuster and has become the starriest draw of the New York gala circuit — as well as its most lucrative.
The Costume Institute’s yearly blockbuster raised US $ 15 million from 550 guests in 2019 that was based on ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’.
