
Sportswear giant Puma is gearing up for a mega return to New York Fashion Week in February 2024. Scheduled for 8th February at the Park Avenue Armory, the brand is set to unveil an enigmatic and nostalgic show promising an immersive experience, transporting attendees to a realm accommodating both humans and ‘monsters’ as the event will also mark the renaissance of their iconic 1999 Mostro sneaker.
Heiko Desens, Puma’s creative director, expressed excitement about this showcase, emphasising the celebration of an iconic sneaker. Additionally, he hinted at unveiling futuristic Mostro design concepts in apparel.
Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), shared his enthusiasm for Puma’s return, citing the brand’s collaboration, energy, and influence as valuable assets enhancing the week’s ambiance.
This event will precede New York Fashion Week, occurring from 9th-14th February 2024, marking Puma’s return after its previous appearance in September 2022 with the Futrugrade show.
In a concurrent narrative, other sportswear labels are also expected to make waves at the Fashion Week. Adidas appears to be partnering with Prada, teasing the anticipated Prada x Adidas Collection designed by Jerry Lorenzo.
