At the annual Tarun Tahiliani Parade, Delhi-based designer Tarun Tahiliani presented his new collection that paid homage to India’s rich artistic legacy. It was a part of Mumbai’s ongoing art event, wherein both emerging and established artists took part.
Tarun Tahiliani’s parade was a celebration of Indian heritage, weaving together Indian tales about textiles, art, embroidery, tailoring and mythology. The show featured designs from his couture collection, alongside pieces from his newly launched luxury pret brand OTT, complemented by accessories and jewellery.
A segment of the parade highlighted the brand’s signature crystal-encrusted pieces in soft shades of white and beige, adorned with delicate embroidery, pearls, and intricate threadwork.
Another standout feature of the show was the sari collection. Tahiliani showcased traditional, heavily embroidered saris, some crafted by master artisans in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, paired with modern, contemporary blouses.
Many pieces were labeled with the names of the master craftsmen who created them. The grand finale featured designs from Tarun Tahiliani’s pret brand OTT, including bibs, long jackets, capes, and coats- tailored pieces that seamlessly blend traditional heritage with contemporary innovation.
