Established in 2014, Indian designer Shahin Mannan’s eponymous label was born out of a desire to create clothes that tell a story – and ones that embody wit, edge, while expressing individuality.
After graduating in knitwear design from one of the top design schools in India, Shahin garnered industry experience for over eight years before launching her namesake label Shahin Mannan in 2015 and the rest is history.
Since then, the label has carved a niche for itself within the Indian fashion landscape with its bold yet original style of expression. Shahin Mannan’s spin on modern storytelling can best be described as unique and elegant when viewed through the lens of fashion.
With versatile separates in sophisticated colours and fine embellishments, Shahin Mannan offers a one-stop-solution for anyone looking to break everyday monotony.
The brand works across womenswear categories spanning co-ord sets, dresses, jackets, trousers and statement separates that can easily transition from day to night. Starting onwards of Rs. 15,000 and going up to Rs. 65,000, the retail price of products depends upon the level of detailing incorporated within each.

“What really sets us apart is our signature embroidery style – quirky motifs, bold narrative-driven graphics and a mix of wit with sophistication. The idea is to create clothes that aren’t just pretty but also have a conversation-starter quality to them,” Shahin Mannan, Founder and Creative Director of Shahin Mannan, told Apparel Resources in an exclusive interview.
The brand targets the urban, globally aware women as its core audience – people who enjoy fashion as a form of self-expression, not just occasionwear dressing.
With a close-knit team of about 25 to 30 people, most of Shahin Mannan’s manufacturing is done in-house at their facility located in Delhi, which ensures total control over the smallest of details, from stitch quality to hand embroidery.

“Occasionally, when we explore craft-heavy or artisanal techniques, we work with clusters across India, but the DNA of the brand which is playful embroideries and sharply cut silhouettes- is all developed in-house,” Shahin explained.
With consumers heavily shifting towards more conscious purchases, Shahin Mannan has also begun to gradually introduce conscious materials such as organic cottons, recycled blends and lighter, breathable fabrics within its collections, especially for summer lines.
Commenting on the same, Shahin said, “I wouldn’t call us a 100% sustainable brand yet, but we’re conscious and mindful in using materials that are durable, not disposable and encouraging clients to invest in fewer but better pieces.”

The label is focused on creating versatile separates – pieces that can be styled in multiple ways so that the customer feels like they’re getting more value out of a single garment. Moreover, by keeping production in-house, they are able to control quality and manage their pricing better.
Shahin Mannan is available to purchase in India, via their own brand website and a vast retail network of selected multi-designer stores, while internationally, they cater to clients in the Middle East, the US and parts of Europe through online platforms and pop-ups.
