
T.T. Limited, a leading vertically integrated textile company based out of New Delhi, has commenced commercial production at its new facility, which is located in the West Bengal Hosiery Park in Howrah and occupies 1.25 lac square feet, according to a press release shared by the firm.
The unit will manufacture casual and inner wear to meet the needs of the expanding local market as well as the new potential for garment exports from India brought about by the FTA with the UK and the impending bilateral trade agreement with the USA, which is anticipated to provide India a tariff advantage over China, opined Managing Director, Sanjay Kumar Jain.
When the new plant starts full operations in Q3 of 2025, it is anticipated to produce between 3.5 and 4 million pieces annually. After the current operations stabilise in the upcoming three to six months, the company plans to quadruple capacity. Additionally, this new facility would serve as a distribution hub for all of the markets in Eastern India.
To guarantee that this unit can meet export quality and certification standards, all necessary equipment has been imported from reputable foreign businesses. The company is a completely compliant factory from day one because it has registered to become SEDEX accredited, said Sanjay Kumar Jain.
Bengal has the advantage of having a robust knitting cluster and access to trained workforce; additionally, exporting is made easier by the state’s close proximity to ports and major cities like Kolkata, he added.
For Q4 2024-2025, ending 31st March 2025, the company reported revenue from operations to be Rs. 6,249.40 lakh (US $ 7.24 million), showing a net loss of Rs. 411.41 lakh (US $ 476,000).
