Strata Geosystems (India) Pvt. Ltd. has announced the strategic acquisition of Venus Interlinings, marking its formal entry into the non-woven geotextiles segment and expanding its footprint in engineered textile solutions.
The transaction, structured as a mix of cash and equity, provides Strata with access to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, enhanced technical capabilities and deeper expertise in non-woven geotextiles. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Strata’s vertically integrated model and accelerate innovation across its geosynthetic and engineered textile product lines.
Founded in 1995 by R.R. Taparia, Venus Interlinings is an India-based manufacturer of advanced non-woven geotextiles and technical textiles. The company maintains long-standing relationships with major industry clients, government contractors and export houses. As part of the agreement, Ravi Taparia will continue to lead Venus Interlinings, ensuring continuity in leadership, organisational culture and strategic direction.
Ravi Taparia stated that since its inception in 1995, Venus Interlinings has been guided by strong values, consistent quality standards and customer-focused innovation. He said that partnering with Strata would allow the company to carry its legacy forward while maintaining leadership continuity and focusing on collaborative, sustainable growth.
Gautam Dalmia, Chief Development Officer at Strata Geosystems, said the acquisition aligns with Strata’s global expansion strategy, both organic and inorganic. He stated that Venus Interlinings’ technical depth, manufacturing capabilities and established position in the non-woven segment complement Strata’s emphasis on innovation, quality and long-term value creation.
