Rajesh Mehra, Director of Active Clothing Co. Ltd. has been elected as a member of the Executive Administrative Committee of the Wool and Woollen Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), reaffirming his role in supporting the growth and global positioning of India’s wool and woollen exports.

The company is recognised as a provider of comprehensive textile solutions in India, specialising in end-to-end apparel services ranging from conceptual design to final manufacturing. Commenting on the development, Mehra stated that he was honoured to have been elected as a member of the Executive Administrative Committee of the WWEPC, describing the appointment as a meaningful recognition of his continued engagement with the sector.
The Executive Administrative Committee plays a key role in defining the council’s strategic direction, shaping policy frameworks and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s wool and woollen industry. The committee is also responsible for ensuring that exporters receive adequate support, resources and representation to remain competitive in global markets.
The Wool and Woollen Export Promotion Council, established by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, serves as the apex body for promoting exports of wool, woollen products and blended textiles. The council works closely with exporters, manufacturers and other stakeholders to enhance international competitiveness, explore new markets and showcase Indian craftsmanship and innovation worldwide.
Mehra further noted that being part of the committee represented both a responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to the sector’s growth, support fellow exporters and help position Indian wool and woollen products as leaders in the global marketplace.
