Paradise Textiles, the material science and innovation arm of the Alpine Group, has announced plans to develop an integrated fabric manufacturing facility in Egypt with an investment of US $102 million.
The new facility will be located in the Amreya Public Free Zone and is being supported by a US $72 million financing agreement with Commercial International Bank (Egypt).
According to the company, the manufacturing site will deploy lower-impact production technologies and energy-efficient machinery to reduce resource intensity in both water and energy consumption. The facility will also incorporate integrated environmental management systems to enable continuous monitoring and optimisation of operations.
The plant will focus on the design and production of high-performance polyester and synthetic fabrics used primarily in activewear and sportswear for international brands, particularly those serving markets in the United States and Europe. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate around 1,200 jobs over the next two years.
Paradise Textiles said the facility would enhance its innovation capabilities while supporting scalable, export-oriented production. The plant is expected to begin operations by the third quarter of 2026 and will feature the first installation of Regen® Microfibre Filtration System, described as the world’s first microfibre filtration system designed specifically for textile manufacturing.
The facility will be located adjacent to Alex Apparels, Alpine Group’s existing manufacturing hub in Egypt. The company said the development would strengthen its vertically integrated production platform by bringing fabric development and garment manufacturing closer together.
An initial tranche of US $35.5 million has already been released for the project, with further disbursements planned over the next two years in line with development milestones.
Ehab Mohi, Chairman of Alex Apparels, stated that the investment would enhance the company’s ability to deliver faster lead times, greater consistency and stronger technical collaboration for global brand partners.
Ashok Mahtani, Co-Founder and Chairman of Alpine Group and Paradise Textiles, said the project reflected the group’s long-term strategy of bringing fabric innovation closer to garment manufacturing while strengthening vertical integration.
