India’s state Odisha will have one more manufacturing facility of textile products.
Welspun Living Limited will have an integrated textile and logistics facility at Choudwar in Cuttack district, with an investment of Rs. 3,050 crore. The project has the potential to create employment for 20,210 people.
As per the official information the company got the nod of the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) for this unit.
As per the state officials, the state has approved 12 key projects into various sectors including renewable energy, chemical etc. with a cumulative investment intent of Rs. 84,918.75 crore and this is one of these project.
It can be mentioned here that Page Industries, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Indo Rama Synthetics, CTM Technical Textiles, Cotton World are few of the companies that earlier have announced investment in the state.
