To establish a clothing accessories factory in the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) in Mirsarai, Chattogram, Bangladeshi company Oasis Accessories (Pvt.) Ltd. will invest US $4.8 million.
Oasis Accessories and the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) inked the investment agreement on Monday at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka. Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, observed the event.
Md. Ashraful Kabir, BEPZA’s Member (Investment Promotion), and Md. Selim Reza, Managing Director of Oasis Accessories, signed the contract.
When the factory is up and running, it will create one million carton boxes, forty-two million polybags, and one million meters of foam every year. 311 Bangladeshi labourers are anticipated to get employment as a result of the initiative.
Now that 48 businesses have signed contracts with BEPZA EZ as a result of this new endeavour, the total amount of proposed investment in the zone stands at US $1.028 billion.
