
Thanveer Ahamed, the newly appointed CEO of Sweaters India Pvt. Ltd., has announced that the company’s current manufacturing capacity, which is 2 million pieces per annum, will be scaled up with planned investments to 5 million pieces per annum by FY 2026.
Ahamed has over two decades of experience in the textile and apparel industry, with his experience stretching from yarn to fabric manufacturing as well as raw material development and global sourcing. He has worked with well-known companies like Eastman Exports as President – Raw Materials as well as Regional Raw Material Lead South Asia Pacific for Ralph Lauren India Sourcing LLP.
He has also been a Textile Consultant at Mast Global for close to 5 years where he coordinated with ginners at Burkina Faso along with various spinning and fabric mills in India. Along with this he has held high level positions in organisations like OPEX Group, Integra Apparels, Target Sourcing Services, Gap International Sourcing, Shahi Exports and Vardhman Textiles among others.
Established in 2007, Sweaters India Private Limited manufactures high quality Flat Knit pullovers, cardigans and sweaters as well as trims accessories and home textiles. The company works in both the domestic and export markets with brands like H&M, Disney, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Decathlon for exports and Celio, Rare Rabbit, Indigo Nation, Scullers, Max and Trends for the domestic market.
