In the last few days, there have been appointments in various companies at the top level. Rajeev Gupta is the new CEO of leading textile giant RSWM Ltd. Prior to this he was working as COO of Sintex (Reliance Industries Limited). With more than 3 decades of experience, Rajeev has worked in leadership roles with top textile companies like Sutlej Textiles and Industries, Trident Group, Vardhman Textiles and Abhishek Yarns to mention a few.
On the appointment of Rajeev, Riju Jhunjhunwala, CMD, RSWM Ltd, said, “Rajeev’s industry knowledge and exceptional leadership abilities are assets that will help us realise our business objectives. His strategic mindset, along with his operational expertise, will be important for us to strengthen our operations and expand into new markets.”

RSWM, the flagship company of LNJ Bhilwara Group is one of India’s leading yarn, denim and knitted fabric manufacturers and the company is well known for its various sustainability initiatives. The company has revenue of Rs. 4,057 crore in FY 2023-24.
In another development, Gaurav Gambhir has been appointed MD, India of Ross Stores. Prior to this he worked with companies like IKEA and Rusta and has his own initiative called Anvaya Sourcing.
“As MD India, I am responsible for leading Ross’ India-based development, sourcing, vendor management and quality efforts, which support US-based merchandising strategies across multi-product categories. I am also responsible for the management of the India office, including but not limited to the development of factory and vendor relations, execution of sourcing strategies, overseas operations and processes,” said Gaurav talking to Apparel Resources.
Supriya Munshi, a sourcing and supply chain expert who used to work with Senior Vice President International Business, Resha Mandi has joined as Country Manager, Testcoo. Testcoo is known for quality assurance, third-party inspections, and supply chain solutions. NIFT Alumni, Supriya has been in the apparel industry for 20 years.
