The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has obtained 15 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from companies in Tirupur and Coimbatore, aiming to invest over Rs. 1,000 crore in the textile and garment sector in the Indore region.
Industries from southern India, including spinning units, textile manufacturers, agricultural pump producers and engineering firms, have shown strong interest in acquiring land in and around Indore.
Sapna Jain, Executive Director of MPIDC, Indore, stated, “Following the roadshows organised by the MP Government in Tirupur and Coimbatore, we have received 15 EOIs from industries in these regions. The proposed investments exceed Rs 1,000 crore.” Delegations from these industries have visited Madhya Pradesh to explore industrial sites.
“Many industries have sent delegations post-roadshows, and we have already presented land parcels to over 20 delegations, with more scheduled to visit soon,” Jain added.
Recently, a delegation from a Coimbatore spinning unit toured the proposed PM Mitra Park in Dhar district and other industrial areas in the state. The PM Mitra Park, being developed in seven states, will cover around 1,563 acres in Bhainsola village, Dhar district. It will accommodate textile, garment, and related industries, along with common facilities, training units, laboratories, up-skilling centers, logistics, housing, and display areas.
Additionally, the Jhanjharwada industrial area in Neemuch has also attracted interest from textile and garment sectors, according to MPIDC.
To attract investments from neighboring states, MPIDC is proposing the expansion of industrial zones in Neemuch, Burhanpur, Mandsaur, and Agar-Malwa.
