During his visit to the Textile Merchants Group (TEXMAS) headquarters, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav spoke with prominent textile traders in Dubai about a range of business and investment-related topics. Under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the United Arab Emirates, the discussion sought to expand trade, innovation and investment prospects in the textile industry.
Under the sponsorship of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, TEXMAS was founded in 1990 and has been instrumental in establishing Dubai as a centre for textile re-export. Both sides decided to speed up bilateral commerce under CEPA in the presence of Chairman Nasir Akhoon, Vice Chairman Vinod Nagda and other high-ranking Indian officials.
Yadav told the TEXMAS delegates that Madhya Pradesh is one of India’s top textile-producing states. Global investors can now completely access top-tier textile clusters such as PM MITRA Park (Dhar). The state’s new Industrial Policy 2025, which covers topics including labour facilitation, capital subsidies, land availability and SGST reimbursement, was the subject of his briefing.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for TEXMAS’s implementation of digital logistics, RFID-based inventory systems and e-commerce. He also reaffirmed the state’s dedication to advancing Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing in Madhya Pradesh. He asked businesses in the UAE to collaborate in these technology sectors.
Green projects in textile production and logistics that adhere to US and EU standards were also discussed. Dr. Yadav emphasised how Madhya Pradesh is quickly becoming a leader in fields like organic cotton and green textiles.
He underlined that the State Government has implemented a specific starting policy to provide financial help, licensing guidance and training to the upcoming generation of textile entrepreneurs. He asked TEXMAS to arrange business-to-business meetings and establish connections with young entrepreneurs.
