The Karnataka government has approved industrial projects worth Rs. 4,824.31 crore (US $ 463 million) that are expected to generate more than 14,500 jobs across the state, with technical textiles emerging as one of the notable sectors among the newly sanctioned investments.
According to an official statement, the approvals were granted at the 158th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC). The committee cleared 37 new industrial projects and two additional investment proposals spread across 13 districts, including Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Chitradurga, Kolar and Bengaluru South.
State Industries Minister M. B. Patil stated that the approved projects, spanning sectors such as technical textiles and other manufacturing activities, are expected to generate 14,525 new employment opportunities in the state.
Among the notable projects approved is a Rs. 376 crore (US $ 40.68 million) technical textile manufacturing unit proposed by Kleine Pax Ltd. The project underscores the growing emphasis on advanced textile manufacturing as part of Karnataka’s broader industrial development strategy.
The approvals reflect the state government’s continued push to attract investment in manufacturing sectors that can generate employment and strengthen emerging segments such as technical textiles.
