A job fair (Rozgar-Mela) for garment industry, Jaipur was organised by Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC), Jaipur at ATDC Sitapura centre. Many leading apparel exporters participated in this event.
The initiative aimed at bringing the job seekers, passouts from ATDC and job providers and others from Jaipur apparel industry on a common platform for mutual benefits.
Happy at successfully organising the event, Aseem Singla, one of the Board of Governors (BOG) and Convener ATDC,said, “There were estimated more than 200 candidates interviewed by around 120 apparel manufacturing companies from Jaipur,which resulted in hiring about 80 per cent of the candidates.”
These candidates included sewing operators, merchandisers, designers and quality controllers,amongst others.
Pleased over the knowledge and skills of candidates, apparel exporters, who participated at the event, insisted on having more such job fairs on regular basis so that they can get skilled work force easily.
ATDC, a well-known training institute with its centres across India, under the AEGIS of Apparel Exports Promotion Council (AEPC), has been rendering various long- and short-term vocational training since 1996 and has trained over 3,00,000 students.
Designated as the Nodal Agency under Component – 1 of ISDS, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, ATDC has emerged as one of India’s largest quality training providers for the apparel sector. Its various initiatives for skill development have been recognised time-to-time at various levels.
