Indian global bed linen manufacturer, Indo Count Industries Ltd., has announced that it has acquired Modern Home Textiles Inc., a utility bedding manufacturer with headquarters in Phoenix. Through Indo Count Global Inc. (ICG), a US affiliate, the purchase expands the company’s portfolio by adding an annual capacity of 8 million pillows.
This action comes after ICG recently acquired the majority of Fluvitex USA Inc., a pillow and quilt manufacturer with headquarters in Ohio. With the combined purchases, Indo Count now has the potential to produce 13 million pillows and 1.5 million quilts a year in the US, with a full-scale revenue of over US $ 85 million anticipated.
According to Anil Kumar Jain, Indo Count’s executive chairman, the acquisitions would expand the company’s market presence in North America and hasten its expansion in the utility bedding sector. It is anticipated that the key sites on the West Coast and Midwest would offer clients effective distribution.
These expenditures are a component of Indo Count’s broader strategy to greatly increase its capacity to produce pillows for the North American market. Through these acquisitions, the corporation also shown its dedication to generating employment in the United States.
