The Uttar Pradesh Government has approved a proposal from a delegation of textile industrialists from Haryana’s Faridabad to expand their business to Jewar in Greater Noida.
After meeting with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the textile entrepreneurs wanted to set up shop along the Yamuna Motorway, close to the future Jewar International Airport. According to Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, their appeal was approved right away on Wednesday.
“The delegation of textile industries from Faridabad had met the Chief Minister seeking investment opportunities during his recent visit. The delegation gave a brief presentation about the multi-million booming textile industry in India and they were immediately given a nod to expand their business in the Jewar area of Uttar Pradesh,” Singh said.
With a large number of mills and other industrial facilities serving both home and foreign markets, Faridabad is one of India’s major textile hubs.
After construction near the Jewar airport is finished, “Noida International Airport” is anticipated to rank fourth in the world and as Asia’s largest international airport. Developmental work at the airport is moving forward quickly.
Singh highlighted, “This will establish a significant financial and industrial corridor near the airport, spanning the Yamuna Motorway. There will be a massive surge in employment here, and investments worth thousands of crores have already been attracted.”
