Bangladesh BaoRui Textile Co Ltd, a Chinese company, has announced plans to invest US $ 19.53 million in the Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) to establish a composite textile manufacturing facility. The project aims to produce 10 million pounds of raw yarn, 6 million pounds of knitted fabric, and 1 million garment pieces annually, generating approximately 1,505 jobs for local Bangladeshi workers.
The investment agreement was signed on Monday by Huang Hua, managing director of Bangladesh BaoRui Textile, and Md Ashraful Kabir, a member of the investment promotion team at Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza), during a ceremony held at the Bepza Complex in Dhaka.
At the signing event, Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, executive chairman of Bepza, expressed optimism about the project, highlighting Bepza’s dedication to creating a secure and supportive environment for investors.
