
Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur has now a garment factory and women of the district will get jobs in this factory. The local administration signed an MoU with Sai Garments Indravarti and Beags India in this regard. Initially, the contract has been made for six years. The local administration will support the unit.
Bijapur is a naxal hit area and this is the first kind of initiative in the district related to garment production.
As per reports, the factory will mainly work for Myntra. Myntra will also support the unit with raw materials. Initially the factory will be into production of knitted garments like tees, leggings.
With proper training and scaling of production in the factory, women will be able to make around Rs. 8000 per month.
