Andhra Pradesh Textiles Minister S. Savitha has directed officials to identify potential investors in the textiles sector ahead of the upcoming CII Partnership Summit, where several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed.
During a review meeting held on Monday with Handlooms and Textiles Special Chief Secretary R. P. Sisodia, Commissioner Rekha Rani, and Industries Secretary Yuvaraj, the Minister urged officials to pinpoint suitable locations across the state for prospective textile investments.
She stated that the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion at the summit would feature two stalls — one showcasing garments and art forms recognised under the One District–One Product (ODOP) initiative, and another dedicated to the sale of handloom garments.
Minister Savitha indicated that a special session on textile-related investments is being arranged as part of the CII Partnership Summit, scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam on 14th–15th November. She noted that investors who have already expressed interest in the sector would be invited to the summit for the formal signing of agreements.
