BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem, speaking at a roundtable discussion shared some real examples of NBR officials who are creating obstacles for businesses and damaging Bangladesh’s trade environment.
To ensure accountability and to remove administrative bottlenecks that are hampering ease of doing business, the President stressed on the need for immediate government intervention. Other business leaders who participated in the discussion strongly supported his remarks.
Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Envoy on International Affairs to the Chief Adviser, graced the roundtable as Chief Guest.
Md. Anwar Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), attended as Special Guests at the program. Shamsul Huq Zahid, Editor and CEO of The Financial Express chaired the session.
