The construction work for Uttar Pradesh’s first ever flatted factory complex will start soon in Agra – known globally for leather products and also an emerging garment manufacturing hub.
The factory complex, to be built in Foundry Nagar in the city, will be ready at a cost of about Rs. 125 crore.
The complex, to come up on an area of 21,500 sq. mt. land, will see 200 entrepreneurs set up their factories under one roof.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will lay the foundation stone of this flatted factory complex in next few days.
The multi-storey building will have about 4 lakh square feet of construction area, with a total of four floors, including the ground floor. Each floor will have one lakh square feet of construction area and will have nine lifts.
The factory site will be provided to the entrepreneurs at the actual cost price.
Notably, priority will be given to new start-up operators, including white category industries like garment industry. Under this, the garment industry will be developed.
Ashok Maheshwari, General Secretary of Agra Readymade Garments Sangathan, said that the construction of this complex will save the time of both manufacturers and the buyers.
There would be complete arrangements for fire safety and factories will be completely eco-friendly.
The entrepreneurs can start their work as soon as they arrive at the flatted factory complex. They only have to plug in the machinery and start production.
