Moncler, the Italian fashion brand, has pledged that it will ban animal fur from all its collections starting 2024 – yet again confirming its commitment to sustainability.
The retailer, reportedly, said that it will plan the move in a phased manner. Substantiating further, Joh Vinding, Chairman, Animal Rights Association, Fur Free Alliance, said “Moncler will stop sourcing fur this year and the last collection to feature fur will be fall/winter 2023.”
The move is consistent with Moncler’s continual commitment to responsible business practices and builds on its constructive and long-term engagement with Italian animal rights organisation LAV as a representative of the Fur Free Alliance.
Consumers these days have made its distinct that they have nothing to do with the suffering of animals that are used for fur fashion.
Back in September 2021, French luxury group Kering had also confirmed that none of its brands, including Gucci and Balenciaga, will use animal fur in its products from AW22.
Founded in 1952, Moncler is mainly known for its skiwear.
