
US-based Obsess, an experiential e-commerce platform, recently announced securing US $ 3.4 million in seed funding round led by Venture Reality Fund, WXR Fund and Jump Capital.
The company has helped some of the leading retailers like Coach, Charlotte Tilbury, Diesel, Party City, Sam’s Club and Tommy Hilfiger in creating a fully shoppable virtual store experiences.
The company plans to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Obsess leverages the use of virtual and augment reality to digitise the retail stores and showrooms for creating an experiential experience for the consumers and wholesale buyers.
The use of the technology helps enhance the online shopping experience for the customers in times when consumers are restricting any visit to physical stores.
Since the retailers are going digital in order to combat the challenges of the current industry, experiential retail will be a huge driver for the e-commerce growth in the coming times.
