McArthurGlen, European designer outlet group, has collaborated with By Appointment, and a digital hands-free shopping service, Dropit, to launch two new digital shopping services.
The technology will be integrated in a number of McArthurGlen’s outlets. The Group has a portfolio of 25 designer outlets in 10 countries across Europe and Canada.
The Appointment app currently in trial phase in Serravalle (Italy), Roermond (the Netherlands), Cheshire Oaks (the UK) and Berlin (Germany) allows the customers to schedule their visits to shops in participating brands.
It also allows them to monitor and join virtual queues and as the pilot progresses, guests will be able to map out in-centre shopping routes from their device.
The solution not only ensures the safety of the customers, but also the employees while also allowing them to manage the store capacity and provide a safe shopping environment.
The Dropit launched at Cheshire Oaks, the UK’s largest designer outlet, allows the customers to securely drop off their shopping bags in participating stores, set the delivery for a time and location that is convenient to them, in-app tracking and customer support.
The company further mentions that the integration of these two technologies has helped boost the confidence of the shoppers in the post-lockdown world.
