Hurr Collective, a luxury rental platform, has collaborated with CoGo, sustainable living app, for the launch of real time carbon footprint tracker into its business.
The application considers three pieces of data for the calculation of carbon footprint including the company or companies, emission factor and transactions.
For the brand, CoGo algorithms and analysis assume a displacement rate of the rented pieces of apparels across the fashion rental platform.
Every time a dress is rented, the footprint tracker calculates the saving of the carbon emission.
Victoria Prew, Co-founder of Hurr Collective, said “Showing our customers their positive climate impact harmoniously bolsters the founding principles of peer-to-peer fashion renting while promoting circular consumption models in the fashion industry and beyond.”
The software prioritises the environment and aims to makes the customers aware of the climate impact. The real time solution shows the direct contact between the fashions spends and carbon footprint for the everyday person.
