A leading US-based cutting technology giant Eastman Machine Company is embracing the change in retail and manufacturing businesses with open arms with its ‘effective Price’ of the machines, ‘stable and high Performance’ of equipment and ‘charismatic Personality’ of its employees who are involved with Eastman customers.
“These 3Ps are our main pillars of business. We build high precision machines which tend to last longer than our competitors and require less maintenance of parts. Performance is the most important factor as irrespective of cost of the machine, it has to perform and we give that kind of performance which is exemplary for others,” quoted Wade Stevenson, President, Eastman Machine Company.
With the same vision and strategy, Eastman exhibited at Texprocess 2019 in Germany to build its customer base both for mass customisation and mass production. The company utilised the platform of Texprocess to launch its cutting system Talon 25x for the first time ever.
The Eastman Talon 25x is engineered and manufactured in the USA to automatically pull stacked material plies from the spreading table to a modular bristle-block conveyor bed for reciprocating knife cutting of patterns. Precise system operations with state-of-the-art motion control communications offer an industrial-strength solution for cutting up to 3 cm of compressed material goods.
Wade further explained the importance of ROI which, he claimed, is the biggest positive for Eastman. “The customers in this cost-competitive era are getting mature and looking for longevity of the products in which they are investing,” asserted Wade further emphasising on the factor that in this tough market scenario, nobody wants to pile up unused inventories in their factories. “Customers today are trying to reduce labour in their factories as labour is becoming expensive, and in some places, workers are unreliable as their attrition rate is high. So the only solution to combat these challenges is investment in automation and I am glad people have trusted Eastman for so long,”concluded Wade.
