OnPoint Manufacturing, an innovative leader in on-demand personalised apparel manufacturers, is leveraging Kornit Presto, a direct-to-fabric digital print system by Kornit Digital, to enhance its on-demand manufacturing capabilities.
The technology will be installed at company’s Florence, Alabama facility.
So, what’s Kornit Presto all about!
Kornit Presto is a single-step print process encapsulated with NeoPigment Robusto ink set and Fixation on the Fly (FOF).
The technology helps deliver greater quality and speed of OnPoint service offerings. Besides, it is one of the most trusted, sustainable option for digital pigment-based printing that has a very small production footprint befitting both microfactory and distributed production models.
And more! The set-up time for the machine is also minimum which allows the users to easily print on a variety of fabrics. Add to it, the machine minimises the manpower required to do the same job.
It’s not therefore surprising that the technology was awarded 2019 SGIA Product of the year.
J. Kirby Best, CEO,OnPoint Manufacturingsaid “Our goal has always been to have a complete inline system where we could go from direct-to-print to direct-to-manufacturing. The Kornit Presto is the first direct-to-fabric printer we’ve seen that doesn’t sacrifice quality for speed.”
He also averred “This is a powerhouse of a printer that will keep up with demand and will connect seamlessly with our new Gerber Z1 cutter creating an unrivaled system in the on-demand manufacturing world.”
The company chose the solution realising the features and capabilities of the machines that completely aligns with the company’s requirement.
Feeling delighted to be associated with OnPoint, Don Whaley, VP of Sales for Kornit Digital Americas said “We’re proud to partner with OnPoint and give their customers the highest print quality available today. No single digital textile print system can match Presto’s combination of speed, graphic detail, handfeel, wash and rub fastness, and waste-free sustainability.”
