Tukatech — one of apparel industry’s leading providers of fashion technology solutions — will launch its latest and arguably the most powerful version of its award-winning pattern design software TUKAcad, along with its 3D fashion design and development software TUKA3D at two separate events to be held in India and later in the US.
The two events are the GT Expo, which will be held in New Delhi, India, which begins on Friday (February 26) and Texprocess Americas in Atlanta, GA, USA, which is slated for May 3 – 5.
Its new releases come with several improvements, which are expected to reduce time and cost of the entire production.
“We were the first dress company to adopt TUKA3D technology in 2005. Since then, we have been heavily involved with the development of many new features, which has helped us out tremendously. TUKA3D 2016 is the most advanced and powerful 3D software,” said Arshad Sattar, Managing Director for Timex – Avirate.
“Being a technology partner with Autodesk, the largest 3D software company in the world with applications such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, and many others being used for the animation, film, and gaming industry, gives Tukatech a great advantage in providing the apparel industry with an all-in-one package. TUKA3D users have the advantage of designing and developing 3D garments, and even producing high-resolution, true-to-life images and videos, with several different options for output, all in one application,” explains Mrs. Iva Sareen, President of Tukatech and creator of TUKA3D technology. “Unlike many other systems, TUKA3D comes with full 3D Studio Max, but it has an extremely simplified interface which is suitable for apparel users,” he added.
Tukatech’s TUKA3D, developed with Autodesk’s 3D Studio Max, also allows developers to verify fit in hundreds of customized motions, through a built-in motion simulation feature.
“Tukatech’s suite of applications, optimized for cloud collaboration, have allowed us to work seamlessly and efficiently with our customers and partners like New Look and Forever New,” said Nishit Bapna, Managing Director of Indochine Group, which has its headquarters in China, with factories in China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, Ethiopia and more.
“We have been using TUKA3D for over 5 years, and we have now been beta testing TUKA3D 2016 version for 8 months. The results are just great. Many of our European buyers are very pleased with the quality and speed. This form of communication has taken so much of their pain away,” Milton John. CEO of Cotton Blossom in Tirupur, India, said.
TUKAcad, a complete suite of applications, allows a person to complete the pattern development processes and share information with all non-CAD users. TUKAcad 2016’s uniqye features boosts speed, efficiency, and functionality.
“Replacing our CAD systems with TUKAcad, SMARTmark, TUKA3D helped us tremendously. TUKA systems are very easy to use, yet really powerful. We have saved fabric, people and time. The Tuka team’s technical know-how, consulting, engineering, and overall experience brought very impressive results,” said Ashish Kumar, CEO, Arvind Exports based in Bengaluru, India.
