Santoni SpA, the Italian circular knitting machine provider, has rolled out the latest XT Machine TC intarsia machine equipped with an integral Toe Closing Device.
The new machine combines all the knitting possibilities of Santoni intarsia technology and stitch transfer technology with the integrated toe closing technology.
It is designed specifically to knit Argyle pattern intarsia socks to meet the increasing high demand of the fashion market while delivering excellent quality and pattern.
“Both sport and technical socks can now benefit from our innovative XT Machine Toe Closing technology, which combines Intarsia concepts that give special technically dedicated areas, guaranteeing superior performance, with ultra-high comfort linked toes,” said Patrick Silva, Marketing Manager at Santoni.
Furthermore, the Santoni’s new XT Machine Toe Closing technology yields innovative knitted socks with features such as compression areas with precisely positioned elastic yarns, sandwich terry for cushioning and protection effects and mesh areas for higher ventilation and moisture control.
Each of these featured areas can have different yarns to better meet the desired customisation requirements.
