Italy’s Sandonini Company, known for manufacturing textile machineries for hosiery and circular knit, has come up with a latest innovation on its range of products.
The new development includes single-piece masks & scarves that provide protection against the coronavirus to the wearer.
Manufactured on seamless circular knitting machine refurbished and updated by Sandonini Company, these masks are ready to wear straight from the machine.
These can be knitted on a number of different diameter machines including 11, 12 and 13 ins and in gauges ranging from 16G to 28G.
The machine features eight feeds and can run at speeds of 90 and 120rpm, while the production for each item takes just 2 minutes. Moreover, the machine is capable of knitting masks with a variety of fibres and yarns for men, women and children.
The company mentions that it has seen a rise in the demand of this machine for the production of masks using antibacterial yarns.
Also, now it is producing its refurbished, updated machines for the manufacturing of new masks that can be produced on these machines in single piece.
The machine features a sinker cap with stepping motor, a motorised dial arm with vertical movement through stepping motor for unlimited height positions, programmable and variable stitch cams and a system on the yarn fingers for plating control.
Moreover, it will feature a single cylinder; four feed and will be available in full electronic controls with a 4 ins diameter between 200 and 400 needles.
The production time of each mask takes just 45 seconds for different sizes.
The mask will be made of plain fabric, run proof, micromesh, net, reinforced band, reinforced & floated patterns. Moreover, these have a tubular pocket for the insertion of a filter or additional fabric for better prevention.
