In its relentless efforts to meet and exceed the needs and demands of its customer, Negi Sign Systems has made rapid progress and Negi Digital is the next step in this direction. The factory is setup in Dehradun with technical help from Mutoh Japan. It will manufacture inkjet printers for the domestic market as well as for exports to South Africa, Middle East, Asia and CIS countries.
Mutoh Viper digital transfer printer which is specifically suited to print on transfer paper by using water-based disperse dye inks has recently been launched by Negi Sign Systems. The printing takes place through a unique heavy-duty motorized unwinding/winding system for rolls up to 100 kg and an extra tensioning tool.
Transfer is possible onto all kinds of polyester materials, e.g. flags, sports goods, mouse pads, curtains, tile murals, booth decoration, etc. All Mutoh digital textile printers are ready to print directly on to all textile with open or closed structure.
Another series of printers on display were the ValueJet series of sublimation printers. Mutoh’s ValueJet printers are easy to install, operate and maintain and is sized to accommodate the most popular media. The ValueJet printers provide exceptional image quality and best in class print speeds at a price that is indeed, a value.
The ValueJet’s improved print speeds and exceptional image quality are made possible through a combination of Mutoh’s revolutionary new X-Rail design and new piezo print head technology.
Mutoh’s printers use a new wave printing patented technology which lays ink using an inter-weaving pattern. This virtually eliminates horizontal banding, typically associated with digital textile bi-directional printing. Banding tends to be caused by error margins that have been multiplied when printing in a mode where the printer is jetting ink while the head carriage is moving from left to right and vice-versa. The ink jetting order, slight misalignment, drying effect, etc. then cause connecting bands that reveal a slight colour difference. “The solution to these common problems is available at a cost, so the printer’s profit margins are eroded. The new technology promises to eliminate this problem,” said Vijay Kandari of Negi.
