
Shima Seiki Italia has inaugurated its first office in Haibach (Germany) and this will be the first office which will be fully managed by the Italian branch of the Japan-based knitting machine manufacturing behemoth.
Elucidating on the development, President of Shima Seiki, Nobuyuki Sasamoto, highlighted the fact that Shima Seiki covers the majority of Europe and other parts of the world because of its well-spread network branches. “Our biggest competition comes from Germany and hence we wanted to join the German market,” he said.
Various famous brands from sportswear, medical, automotive and home furnishing industries are based in Germany and if the company succeeds in catering to their needs, they will open up new offices in other such markets as well.
Markedly, the knitting machinery manufacturer has confirmed partnerships with Hugo Boss, Puma, Adidas, Marc O’Polo, Marc Cain and other local brands of Germany, to provide them with the latest technology.
The company has set a goal to further increase the sale of its ‘innovations’ in Germany after the success it tasted in Italy. Markedly, Shima Seiki is known worldwide for developing new technologies in knitting, hardware, software and sampling segments, to support the industry.
Shima Seiki, currently, operates in 84 countries at 117 locations and the new office in Germany is spread over 250 square metres. The facility also has a dedicated machine room, a showroom and separate zone for live demonstrations and courses for its patented SDS-ONE APEX 3 Design System.
