Textile industry, with the advent of technologies, has touched new heights over a period of time – all thanks to ever-changing trends in the fashion sector that are creating a continuous demand for newer textiles and pushing textile machinery makers to develop technologies that allow manufacturers to produce wide array of fabrics with specialised effects.
The growth in the textile technology sector is also supported by various reports and one of such recent report, released by Global Industry Analysts Inc., says that the overall textile machinery market is projected to reach 10.10 million units worldwide by 2026, at a CAGR of 9.10 per cent.
Of course companies in the textile sector must be keeping a close eye on the market trends and Germany-based leading Textile Machinery Association VDMA is one such firm that is a frontrunner when it comes to taking a lead and making efforts to explore development possibilities in textile technology – be it holding knowledgeable conferences/webtalks or offering mechanical engineering and plant engineering advocacy to the member companies.
In its latest initiative, VDMA has decided to organise a webtalk series offering the possibilities to know the latest textile technologies and products to be shown at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2020 virtually.
The leading Asian textile machinery fair – ITMA ASIA + CITME 2020 – is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from 12 to 16 June 2021 but predominantly for the Chinese visitors due to COVID-19 restrictions in other major Asian countries. Therefore, VDMA knows the Asian textile and nonwovens manufacturers other than the Chinese ones won’t be able to visit the fair.
The webtalk series is being organised only because of this above-mentioned reason so that the textile and nonwoven manufacturers who won’t be able to visit the fair physically can know what’s new in the different companies’ portfolio.
The first webtalk will be discussing the products of Mahlo on 1 June which will be themed – “Your Data Highway to the Future.”
According to VDMA, equipped with one of the best scanner ranges in the market and with the experience of more than 75 years, the inventor of weft straightening Mahlo is also leading the way in terms of the data management, making the relevant data available wherever it is needed and this is touted as the overall task of the industry.
