Gerber Technology announces its collaboration with Alvanon to further strengthen its 2D to 3D fit solution.
This will empower the fashion and apparel companies to accurately simulate their customer’s size and fit.
As a part of this partnership, the Gerber’s AccuMark 3D users will be able to leverage the Alvanon Body Platform (ABP) for the development of 3D samples and reduce fit errors, which will strengthen the digital product development and e-commerce.
Retailers, brands and manufacturers will also get access to Alvanon’s vast library of over 6,000 3D virtual bodies, each representing specific brands’ fit standards, and download the 3D avatars for AccuMark 3D.
Moreover, it will also be used to test patterns in all sizes and validate fit.
This collaboration is a step to help the fashion companies combat the challenges of pandemic and adjust them to the new normal.
The customers leveraging the combined power of AccuMark 2D/3D and the ABP will be able to develop perfectly fitting garments that accurately reflect the size and body shape of the consumer base, resulting in less return and more satisfied customers.
Mary McFadden, Vice President of CAD Product Management, mentions how digital transformation is now inevitable for companies who want to succeed in the next era. “Our collaboration with Alvanon will give them the tools they need to fully transform product development.”
“We have an opportunity today, with the technology and tools available to us, to build a new future for the apparel industry,” said Jason Wang, COO, Alvanon.
