Gerber announces an upgrade to its AccuMark 3D pattern design platform!
The enhanced capabilities of the software will help manufacturers cut their lead time to just 48 hours and reduce material waste by 40 per cent.
The upgrades are for the AccuMark, AccuNest, AccuPlan and AccuMark 3D. The designers working on the software will be able to edit directly in the 3D workspace.
It will allow visualisation of entire collection designed in different fabrics and colourways while also allowing the checking of size and fit on the same model – thus increasing the accuracy and need for creating physical samples.
Melissa Rogers, Senior Vice President and General Manager for software, said “After speaking with our customers, we found that they were spending millions of dollars and countless hours making thousands of samples per year. Therefore, we fully improved our 3D workflow.”
The software will also let the manufacturers have on-demand manufacturing capabilities, enhanced digital printing and true-to-life virtual samples that assist in bringing the design to production by 60 per cent compared to the manual process.
