rue21 partners with Mastek to roll out BOPIS facility in 700+ stores

rue21, US based young women’s apparel seller, has collaborated with Mastek, an enterprise digital transformation service provider, in order to offer Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) facility at more than 700 store location.

Along with Mastek on the development and rollout, rue21 is delighted to increase the convenience and flexibility for its loyal base with the mobile-first approach. The customers can easily check the availability of stock of any product in the nearest stores, purchase it online and pick up from the stores without paying any shipping charges.

The retailer has joined a growing group of retailers that are eager to match the heightened expectations of today’s shoppers and save on the delivery costs. The collaboration involved the e-commerce team from rue21 and the digital commerce team from Mastek.

Moreover, the project involved website design, implementation of the BOPIS program , an Order Management System (OMS)  selection as well as integration with the e-commerce system and customer service tools. Also the design and custom solutions met the requirements of brand’s e-commerce and store operations team including real-time reporting along with the custom dashboards.

It is worth noting that the rollout started in January and is expected to be completed by the end of March.
