Banana Republic, a global apparel and accessories brand under Gap Inc.’s banner, is the latest to go live on Oracle’s Retail Cloud solutions.
Gap Inc. has partnered with Oracle in order to deploy latter Retail Merchandising Cloud Service and its Retail Integration Cloud Service to drive operational agility and furnish Banana Republic business teams with better intelligence.
The combined solutions, powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, allow Banana Republic to synchronise merchandising operations from buying to inventory valuation. Also, daily tasks such as managing purchase orders and sales auditing are made more efficient and effective with this platform that delivers exceptions and alerts to show buyers a path to resolution or the items that need attention.
Moreover, with single view of inventory, product data and transaction details, the brand’s users have the data that is required to do their jobs more effectively and easily.
The retailer is also looking to seamlessly connect the front end with the back end functions by moving from a private cloud to Oracle cloud infrastructure utilising various oracle technologies including Oracle Exadata Cloud Service and Java Cloud Service as a foundation for a Retail Integration Hub along with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication.
