Of recent, apparel sourcing is becoming more complicated as brands are constantly concerned about their sourcing destinations. Apparel Online explored in-depth, taking opinions of top sourcing experts of various global brands on the present apparel and textile industry scenario with most unanimously agreeing that within Asia, Bangladesh and India are important go-to destinations for the future of garmenting, while Vietnam, lacks in their workers’ spirit (will face acute shortage in future).

The issue also gives coverage to two domestic retailers – Patanjali Paridhan, and Ludhiana-based Octave Clothing, popular for a range of knit products. Both teams share their journey of success with Team AO.

The industry is also abuzz with contradictory reports regarding Gurgaon-based Triburg, one of India’s biggest and oldest buying houses. It is learnt that Nordstrom, one of its major clients, has shifted its sourcing operations to New Times, the assumption being that Triburg is not doing well, creating sensation all-around.
