    The interesting journey of AO Bangladesh started with a discussion on ‘Why Bangladesh…?’, while the second issue reflected the ‘What all’; and now the third issue is the beginning of our journey of continued togetherness with “Uncovering of Bangladesh…” In this issue, 25 industry stalwarts, representing various sections of the entire textile chain, have been interviewed and their views presented on issues which are sure to inspire the industry to do better. This is only the beginning, expect much more in the future… Our team for Bangladesh is also growing with newer members joining the family… Indeed, the transition of the country from a volume basic player to a product development centre is happening, though still small the process has began. The lead article ‘Is Product Development the Future of Bangladesh…?’ unearths the movement from a buyer and industry perspective. Answering the why and why not dilemma. In our company strategy segment the Ananta Group talks about building on sustainable competitiveness and the challenges today. We also conclude the three part series on ‘Towards Higher Productivity’, many more technical and management issues will be addresses in the upcoming editions.
