Asics, has unveiled shoes titled ‘Metaride’ that promises to reduce energy loss at ankle joints by almost one fifth, allowing wearers to run long distance, in an easier way.

The technology behind the process is the precision-shaped curve sole which the company claims shifts the body weight forward, propelling to give the feeling of effortless motion to runners.

The company considers Metaride as one of its most important innovations in seven decades.

“The Metaride concept and the new Guidesole technology are fundamentally different to any other shoe we’ve ever made or that’s on the market today” said Kenichi Harano, Executive Officer, Asics.

The product will be available for purchase in Asics worldwide stores from February 28th. Customers can also get the Metaride on the brand’s e-commerce and select wholesalers for approximately US $ 285 (215 pounds). Moreover, the company is already working on its latest innovation ‘energy-saving franchise’ that is supposed to be launched this Autumn.
