US-based fashion company PVH Corporation has been recognized in the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for creating an inclusive corporate environment where every individual is valued.
The report was released recently by Human Rights Campaign Foundation that works to improve the lives of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) people.
The Foundation envisions a world where LGBTQ individuals are ensured of their basic equal rights and can be open, truthful and safe at home, at work and in the community.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation conducted a survey before announcing the winner.
In the survey, questions related non-discrimination at the workplace, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency and public engagement programmes among others were asked.
PVH Corporation was among the list of 609 major American and global companies that earned top marks this year for LGBTQ equality.
“This is a proud moment for our company as we secured 100 per cent rating on the Corporate Equality Index. The recognition will serve as a booster for us and help us drive growth, performance, creativity, and success in all aspects,” said Manny Chirico, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, PVH Corp.
The Corporate Equality Index assesses the companies on their corporate policies and works for the LGBTQ people at the workplace. More than 945 companies were evaluated this year.
