It was an interesting experience for several textile mill owners who shared their different day-to-day issues and explored solutions in discussion with leading author and business consultant Shiv Khera.
The Academy of Indian Texprenerus Federation (ITF), Coimbatore organised this interactive event and distributed certificates to the 20 textile mill owners who participated in the various training activities of ITF.
ITF has created a world class infrastructure in PSG-STEP at PSG iTECH Campus and Shiv Khera inaugurated the academy, which offers training to all from top management to supervisors.
Overall more than 150 owners of various textile companies participated in an interactive session. Some of the mill owners who enjoyed the training included the likes of Govindaraj, MD, SRG Apparels Ltd.; Vasanth, MD, KNM Mills; Manojkumar, MD, Salona Cotspin Ltd.; Venkatraj, MD, Saravana Textiles.
ITF is a leading association as around 650 textile companies are associated with it. Out of these companies, 51 have joined as partners to the ITF Academy.
Prabhu Damodharan, Convenor, ITF who is at the centre of these activities shared that ITF Leadership Academy, focusing on robust leadership qualities, has also launched three new courses covering three different levels of professionals in textile mills.
This includes courses for senior level posts like General Manager, Midlevel managers and for supervisors as well. Each trainee will attend one full day course per month and thus there will be 12 classes in a year. Notably, 12 different topics will be covered by 6 expert trainers from Chennai and Bangalore.
