There is no doubt that boudoir is back in the most obvious form – the slip dress – and isn’t just reserved for the bedroom anymore. There are languid styles in different shades of satin that are on the runway. Celine has put white slip dresses in satin on her catwalk with black decorative lace detailing on the neck, whereas Haider Ackermann has gone for styles in plum shades and a rocker look and Alexander Wang chose shades of beige for his lacy ensemble. Saint Laurent, Burberry Prorsum and Calvin Klein took the minimal approach with silver and gold slip dresses adding a slit or a few cut-outs to make the garment more exciting.
