If you are waiting for spring, which is a month away, Prada’s store in SoHo is a breakaway to feel those vibes!
Yes, you hear it right!
Prada debuted its ‘Hyper leaves’ at Galeria Lafayette in Paris. Drawing inspiration from nature, the blend of ‘reality and imagination’ creates a subtle background for the mannequins wearing designer labels spring/summer collection.
The oh-so-pleasing neon structures perfectly twin with the real plants and a ceiling high tower on the lower level. Graphics of ferns and leaves, bright lawn green carpets clubbed with leaf-shaped product displays give a pleasing vibe.
Look out for raffia totes, espadrilles, sheer polo knits, dip-dyed midi skirts and vibrant Hawaiian-print shirts. Moreover, if this does not suffice you, go for the label’s trendy and less beachy expansion of colour-blocked nylon parkas.
This real and fake, natural and unnatural, feel-good vibes perfectly tune with the label’s philosophy of contradictions.
Do not forget the fact that the items you get are the last pieces designed by Miuccia Prada ahead of her collaboration with Miuccia Prada!
Blossoming with Prada
Prada collaborates with German artist Thomas Demand as they celebrate the arrival of spring. The blossoming cherry trees form the milieu of Prada store windows. Creating hype around every nook and corner as the passerby get mesmerised by the designs and imagery, Prada is getting into creating new dialogues.
