This week, a trend report for New York Fashion Week FW23 was released by the American colour institute Pantone. It was mostly composed of happy, vibrant colours like menthol green and magenta. The bright colour scheme was set off by five other subdued, traditional hues, like creamy white and deep blue.
Red and rose hues made up a portion of the Pantone colour palette. On the fashion shows of Tory Burch and Collina Strada, among others, the colour ‘Tender Peach,’ a delicate, light peach, was visible.
Many designers have already utilised the more popular fuchsia shades ‘Rose Violet’ and ‘Viva Magenta,’ which Pantone designated the colour of the year.
Red Orange was another colour that was frequently spotted. In this hue, Carolina Herrera presented a straightforward look, and Ulla Johnson experimented with various tones and textures.
Fashion hues like ‘Persian Jewel’, ‘Carnival Glass’, and ‘Kohlrabi’ were utilised by designer Palomo Spain in his collection.
Proenza Schouler and Elena Velez, who both wanted to construct shapes with drawstrings at the waistline, went with ‘Coconut Milk’ and ‘Silver Birch’, respectively.
