Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello will be showcasing menswear show in Los Angeles on June 6th, as per an announcement made by the brand.
This adds to the city’s reputation as a fashion hot spot as a series of luxury fashion brands, such as Rodarte in February, Cult Gaia in December, and Rachel Zoe, Jeremy Scott and Tom Ford in prior years, have staged their shows here. Libertine is also set to hold a runway show on April 26th at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
This will also enable the brand to have the first word ahead of the men’s season in Paris, London, Florence and Milan subsequently.
The Paris Fashion Week show presented by the French luxury brand in February included men’s lines alongside women’s, but as per a statement given by a spokeswoman for the brand on Wednesday, this itinerant show would be similar to the men’s extravaganza Saint Laurent staged in New York City last June.
Vaccarello’s spring women’s show was staged at the foot of the Eiffel tower surrounded by rows of palm trees and is known to showcase women’s and men’s designs together since 2016, the year when he joined the brand, sticking to the conventional Parsian calendar.
Saint Laurent operates under the umbrella of the company Kering, which also owns brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen.
