Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018 kicked off the weekend with established Indian fashion designers truly coming to their own ‘signature’ styles. The Day 4 of the fashion extravaganza was filled with fashion’s established veterans embracing Indian motifs, embroideries and even the silhouettes in its full glamour.
While Indo-Western fusion has become a norm, it is important to observe that there is still a huge market for redefined basics. The colour story has also become really simplified with most designers cashing in on the serenity of whites and the inescapable glamour of black and powerful reds.
The market for value-addition and embroidery has been witnessing a massive rise globally and for our own designers, this is a great opportunity to take charge and create garments that will take the Indian fashion industry forward.
