Japanese fashion retail giant Uniqlo’s latest collaboration comes with Finnish fashion, home furnishings and textile brand Marimekko, popular for its unique patterns and designs for home, fashion, accessories in bright coloured printed fabrics and simple styles.
Uniqlo is known for linking up with various artists and designers for capsule collections.
The collection plays with colourful prints and embodies both Uniqlo and Marimekko’s commitment to enhancing daily life experiences for women, with a strong focus on functionality.
For the capsule, Maija Louekari – a world-renowned print designer with Marimekko – has specifically designed prints revolving around florals and polka dots that seamlessly blend aesthetics of both the labels.
The nine-piece collection will include tops, dresses, pants, sneakers and bags. The capsule highlights Uniqlo’s signature casual and easy going silhouettes through culottes with printed hemlines, short sleeve dresses, loose fit t-shirts, canvas sneakers and gym sacks, all inspired by nature and an urban lifestyle.
The limited-edition clothing and accessories assortment is exclusively designed for women and is slated for release in March 2018.

The Marimekko x Uniqlo range will be available for purchase across Uniqlo stores and online on uniqlo.com in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States of America on Thursday, 29th of March; in Asia on 30th March; and in Russia in early April.
